The aim of our international mental health project is to develop a research network in the field of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy in developing countries by establishing cooperation between western professionals and professionals from partner universities/hospitals in developing countries. Our work supports cross-cultural studies in psychosomatic medicine, psychotherapy and traditional medicine and focuses on the facilitation of related educational strategies to young medical doctors and psychotherapists in the respective countries. In addition, this project encourages academic exchanges among young scientists of both Western and non-Western societies.
