Land in Sight (LIS)
Are you interested in rural general practice?
The classic image of isolated general practitioners going through the same daily routine in rural areas is long outdated. We’ll show you just how diverse, connected, and innovative medical care in rural areas really is—from interdisciplinary teams and telemedicine services to exciting practice and research projects.
Sign up for the Land in Sicht program and help shape the future of rural healthcare!
The "Land in Sight" program is aimed at students participating in the rural physician quota program and all medical students who are interested in rural general practice.
The "Land in Sicht" team at the Institute of General Practice offers you:
- Mentoring Program
Experienced students in the rural physician quota program will support you as a student in the rural physician quota program with questions about your studies and share their tips and experiences. In addition, we offer you one-on-one mentoring by experienced physicians from our rural teaching practices. - Start of the Semester
At the kickoff event, you—as a student in the Rural Physician Quota program—can meet fellow students from different semesters and network. Here, you’ll receive all the information about our offerings. - Workshops
Interactive workshops will equip you with skills to support you in your studies—for example, on topics such as resilience and self-care. - Pre-clinical elective “Experiencing Rural Medicine – Expertise Meets Patient-Centered Care in Everyday Practice”
Experienced rural physicians provide insights into their work and address topics particularly relevant to practicing in rural regions. - Support in finding clinical rotation and observation placements
Our advisors will connect you with dedicated teaching practices and assist you with any questions regarding the application and selection process.
