About
I joined the group in May 2011 and work primarily on task fMRI data of healthy older adults as well as patients with neurodegenerative disease. I apply Dynamic Causal Modelling, a method to investigate directed causal interactions between different brain regions of interest. We hope that DCM will help us to understand individual and group-specific compensatory mechanisms in different cognitive functions. To further support this endeavour, I investigate compensatory mechanisms with the help of multiple regression models allowing to examine the relationship between cognitive performance and brain activity moderated by proxies of neuronal decline.
