Postdoctoral Researcher - Complement Biology & Translational Nephrology (m/f/d)
Our laboratory is a highly innovative group focusing on renal diseases of the complement system. We combine fundamental mechanistic research with a strong translational perspective, supported by long-standing collaborations with industry partners. Our work is regularly published in high-impact journals (e.g., JCI, JASN) and contributes to the development of novel therapeutic approaches.
Recent projects include the investigation of newly identified complement regulation pathways and therapeutic protein approaches in preclinical models of complement-mediated kidney diseases.

Your profile:
- PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, molecular medicine or related fields
- experience with animal mouse models (required)
- experience in molecular biology (desirable)
- experience in protein biochemistry (desirable)
- strong motivation for translational biomedical research
- ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team
Your responsibilities:
- design and conduct independent research projects in complement biology and kidney disease
- perform and analyze in vitro and in vivo experiments using mouse models
- apply molecular biology and biochemical techniques
- contribute to publications and grant applications
- collaborate within an interdisciplinary and translational research environment
The position is available immediately. Depending on the contractual arrangement, the position can extend until end of 2027, with excellent prospects for continuation.
