Skin cancer is a very common disease. The Freiburg Skin Tumor Center is a competency center for the treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms of the skin. We provide you the full range of medical treatment, from prevention, early detection, and diagnosis to operative and systemic therapy. Self-help groups of people with the same disease offer a self-determined exchange of information and experience without professional guidance as well as mutual emotional support. Members of self-help groups are experts in their own right and often have a high degree of "lay competence". Learn more

Diagnosis, Treatment, & Trials

An important part of our work is prevention and education to ensure that skin cancer has no chance to develop in the first place. We use various methods for the diagnosis of all types of skin tumors: reflected-light microscopy, histological examination, skin and lymph node ultrasound, and imaging methods. We treat skin tumors with an interdisciplinary approach, including operative therapy, non-operative therapy methods, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted tumor therapy, and/or radiotherapy. Regular follow-up examinations help keep your mind at ease. Find out more (in German)
