Hematologic Neoplasia Center HAEZ
The Hematologic Neoplasms Center combines the three centers that deal with malignant diseases of the blood system (see the boxes below). These diseases include leukemias and their precursors, malignant lymphomas (cancers of the lymph glands), myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative disorders (diseases of the bone marrow).
Because of the rarity of these diseases - they account for about 10 percent of all cancers - the Hematologic Neoplasia Center has a team of physicians specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant diseases of the blood system.
