We experience the strengths and weaknesses of our healthcare system at close quarters in our daily practice. We often want to make changes, and ask ourselves how this could be done. This is why we in healthcare research seek to examine the healthcare system under daily conditions, especially in terms of quality, effectiveness and patient-centredness.

Through structurally creative projects, we devote ourselves to the interlinking of research and practice, such as innovative ways of promoting an expansion of rural general practice. Furthermore, the support of the next generation of doctors stands as the chief focus of our educational research.

We are also a partner in the International Cochrane Network, which provides the scientific basis for decision-making in the healthcare sector. Cochrane Germany
