Interventional Biological Psychiatry

Our division is specialised on biological interventions in therapyresistant psychiatric disorders and we mainly use invasive methodes. The current treatment spectrum covers deep brain stimulation (DBS), which is applied in treatment resistant depression as well as in serious obsessive-compulsive disorders and vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), which is also applied in treatmentresistant depression.

We currently do not perform studies on magnetic seizure therapy (MST) or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). These treatments are presently not part of our treatment range.
