Black Forest Winter School of General Medicine, March 19–22, 2026
The Black Forest Winter School
is an event we organize in collaboration with the Baden-Württemberg Association of Family Physicians to provide interested students with a deeper insight (than is often possible during their studies) into general medicine and family practice. We want to not only inspire you, the students, to pursue a career as a family physician, but also prepare you for work in a family practice. During the event, you will meet general practitioners of various ages with different career and life paths (practice owners, employed physicians in hospitals and clinics, research assistants at the university, etc.). Our experts will share their professional experiences with you and are happy to answer all your questions.
In addition to exciting general practice case seminars and workshops such as “Patient-Centered Communication” and “Pediatrics in the General Practice Context,” the program also includes useful tips and tricks on the general practice profession, advanced training in general medicine, as well as setting up a practice and career

Who can participate?
Anyone studying medicine at a German university and enrolled in one of the clinical semesters can apply for the Winter School. There is a small fee of 120 euros for the event—the rest is covered by the Baden-Württemberg Association of General Practitioners.
