Winterbreak between 20 Dec and 06 Jan : Longer response times are to be expected during the break.

After submitting the online application (see below), you will be assigned a counselor. An automatic confirmation of receipt will be sent to you by email. The counselor will usually contact you within a week, at the latest after two weeks, to set up the appointment. Consultations usually take place via videoconference or, if necessary, by telephone.

We encourage everyone seeking advice to employ artificial intelligence / chatbots (LLMs) such as ChatGPT in preparing for the consultation – the better prepared you are, the more precisely we can help you along the way!

For PhD students, this kind of preparation before the consultation is mandatory.

• LLMs, including ChatGPT and local LLMs, are available to university students and academic staff of the University Medical Center Freiburg via their university account at https://openwebui.uni-freiburg.de/.

• Here you will find a ready-to-use prompt for clarifying a methodological problem or study design.

• Here you will find helpful prompt guidelines in case you want to prepare data in the form of Excel spreadsheets for analysis in R (in German).

• Please be aware that personal or otherwise protected data may only be uploaded in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
