Center for Innovative Care (CIC)
The Center for Innovative Care (CIC) is a network of currently five medical faculties and university clinics in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The CIC aims to improve medical care for patients through digital solutions e.g. mobile applications. Digital data and process integration facilitate transparency for patients, a better understanding of their disease, and ultimately improves patient self-management and patient outcomes. The involvement of patients before, during and after their hospital stay can be achieved through the interdisciplinary co-development and implementation of a patient-centered mobile health application platform (Meine Uniklinik) tailored to the University Medical Center Freiburg.
