ZPM

The Centres for Personalised Medicine (ZPM) are an initiative of the Baden-Württemberg university hospitals in Tübingen, Freiburg, Heidelberg and Ulm, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the state's health insurance companies. It is their goal to provide patients with individual therapy recommendations that are tailored to their molecular profile once the guideline-based therapy has been exhausted. Since these are experimental therapies, an important core of the ZPM is the bwHealthCloud, in which pseudonymised progression data can be evaluated in order to make a knowledge gain available to the general public in the form of publications. The centres will be launched in 2019, initially in the field of oncology, with plans to expand to the field of inflammation.

The Molecular Tumour Boards as interdisciplinary, cross-entity case conferences take on the task of evaluating the genetic and molecular pathological analyses for oncological cases
