Mission Statement
The Cardio-Vascular Research Center (CVRC) Freiburg brings together the research groups engaged in cardiovascular research at the University Heart Center Freiburg · Bad Krozingen (UHZ), University Hospital Freiburg (UKF), the Medical Faculty, and possibly other institutes of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the region. The aim is to promote progress, effectiveness, and visibility in cardiovascular research and postgraduate training, and to stimulate bidirectional translation between 'bench and bedside.'
Aims
- Continuous strengthening of cardiovascular research and education, with a close link between preclinical and clinical expertise, and with the goal of promoting synergies and translation;
- Promotion of the training and further education of scientific and medical staff of all CVRC members, to enhance career prospects;
- Further strengthening of the local, regional, national, and international visibility of cardiovascular research at UKF
