In Freiburg the research program Molecularly Targeted Therapies is contributed to by the Departments of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology as well as the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. All Projects belong to the topic Targeting Transcription and Epigenetic. Both departments aim to develop novel therapies to overcome the challenge of fighting successfully different myoproliferative neoplasm to apply novel developments like the detection of circulating tumor DNA/RNA, like targeting II PI3 kinases and JAK kinases as well as improving such technologies like RNAi or CRISPR for the clinical use.
