Impressions from the program

The Kazakh delegates showed great interest in exchanging knowledge in the areas of epidemiology, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, health literacy in disadvantaged groups, occupational health and safety. For their contributions, we thank our colleagues at the Institute for Infection Prevention and Control, at the broader Medical Center – University of Freiburg and at the University of Freiburg.

Welcome, delegation from Kazakhstan!

We are thrilled to host a delegation from Kazakhstan during the first two weeks of December 2025. The first such delegation visited us a year ago. Once again we welcome twelve visitors from various towns and research institutes in Kazakhstan: the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) National Scientific Center for Particularly Dangerous Infections named after Masgut Aikimbayev, the LLP Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems and the LLP National Center for Biotechnology.

They will be learning about:

• vesicle-like nanocapsules and vaccines
• CRISPR-Cas gene editing
• antimicrobial resistance
• biological safety
• GIS data processing and artificial intelligence
• science communication and team building facilitation 

as well as getting to know Freiburg im Breisgau and the surroundings. We look forward to an inspiring exchange of knowledge and ideas.
