Freiburg Internal Extracellular Vesicles Meeting – Get Together EV Researchers and EV-Interested, Friday, 24th October 2025

The Extracellular Vesicles research group of Prof. Irina Nazarenko at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg last year held the Freiburg Internal Extracellular Vesicles Meeting – Get Together EV Researchers and EV-Interested with some 50 engaged participants. We will stage this successful and interactive event again on Friday, 24th October 2025, from 13:00 until 17:30, with dinner from 17:30 to 18:30 for those who signed up. The venue is the Zentrum Translationale Zellforschung - ZTZ (ground floor), located at Breisacher Straße 115, 79106 Freiburg.

We warmly invite scientists who work in Freiburg from all stages of their research careers, including principal investigators, senior and junior group leaders, postdoctoral researchers, clinical scientists, technicians, PhD and MD students from all faculties of the University of Freiburg, the Medical Center, the Hahn-Schickard, the Max Planck and the Fraunhofer Institutes, and representatives of the local industry who are involved in any aspect of EV research, including:

  • cell biology, signal transduction and EVs
  • molecular mechanisms of EV biogenesis and function
  • liquid biopsies and biomarkers
  • methods for EV isolation from different biofluids
  • methods development
  • EV biomimetics
  • therapeutic EVs
  • drug delivery and lipid-based nanoparticles (LNPs)
  • mathematical and computational modelling for EVs.

If you are interested in analyzing EVs for your research project or exploring any additional EV-related topics, then we would be thrilled to have you present your scientific poster at our meeting. We wish to give poster presenters the opportunity to summarize their material in a three-minute flash talk (poster pitch).

This meeting will be a great opportunity to meet other researchers from Freiburg interested in EVs, establish collaborations, expand awareness about EV research and its possibilities, and foster social interactions among participants. We are committed to contributing to the scientific community, we are eager to share insights and learn from one another to accelerate all our research efforts.

We look forward to hosting you and to fruitful discussions.
