Evidence Synthesis
Responsibilities within the Institute
The Meta-Analysis group group pushes the boundaries of meta-analytic methodology to meet the demands of modern, complex healthcare research — from diagnostic test accuracy and multicomponent interventions to multiple outcomes and beyond. The Section Health Care Research applies different methodologies of evidence synthesis. This includes various types of reviews (such as scoping or systematic reviews) and other forms of knowledge integration from studies and projects.Selected projects
Multivariate methods in evidence synthesis: extending their framework and applicability.
Network meta-analysis models integrating dose- response functions for multicomponent interventions.
Framework development enabling evidence synthesis for complex clinical questions exceeding conventional PICO schemes.
ROC curve modeling in meta-analyses of diagnostic tests, implemented in the R package diagmeta.
SoftMeta: an open-source software suite for meta- analysis in R, expanding community tools for evidence synthesis.
Based on methods of evidence synthesis and knowledge integration, the project FAST-CARE aims to develop a best practice concept for the improvement of specialist medical and dental care in residential care facilities.
