Responsibilities within the Institute
The Section Health Care Research conducts health services research studies on patient-centred care and evaluations of complex interventions in the healthcare system. The division Studies and Statistical Consultancy supports these studies with statistical expertise from the design stage during funding application through to analysis and publication.Selected projects
In PEDNET-LC, we are evaluating a nationwide paediatric network for the care and research of post-acute consequences of COVID-19 and ME/CFS in children and adolescents from the perspective of practitioners.
Individual online coaching for caregivers of depressed persons shows an advantage compared to standard of care. A project of the Psychotherapy Research in Psychiatry Schramm supported by the division Studies and Statistical Consultancy.
Qualy-GAIN is a sub-project of the German Auto-Immune Network and investigates whether the fulfilment of patient preferences is associated with a better self-reported health status and whether the feedback of the results to the treatment team leads to more patient-centred care.
The MinDial project evaluates minimisation of dialysis risk in hospital patients with chronic kidney disease in a multicentre, stepped-wedge, cluster-randomised controlled trial.
Based on methods of evidence synthesis and knowledge integration, the project FAST-CARE aims to develop a best practice concept for the improvement of specialist medical and dental care in residential care facilities.
