Teo Puig Walz, MSc

IT-Coordinator, Scientific Assistant (Bioinstrumentation, Computational Modelling)

Research Interests:

  • Computational and numerical modelling of cardiac electrophysiology
  • Modelling of heterocellular coupling and optogenetic tools
  • Investigation of ischaemia-reperfusion arrhythmia mechanisms
  • Optical mapping and signal processing

Brief CV:

Teo holds a Master of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Freiburg. At IEKM, he investigates arrhythmia mechanisms in ischaemia-reperfusion, combining experiments and simulations. Previously he worked on single-molecule experiments and the construction of optical tweezers at the Small Biosystems Lab at the University of Barcelona, from which he obtained a BSc in Physics.
