Workshop: CytoVI – Advancing Your Cytometry Data Using Generative AI
When: 24.07.2025 14:00-16:00h
Where: Seminar Room EG IMITATE
Hosts: Lighthouse Core Facility in collaboration with Florian Ingelfinger
Join us for a hands-on workshop introducing CytoVI, a generative deep learning model designed to elevate your cytometry data analysis. This workshop is intended to make generative modeling accessible to both experimental researchers and clinicians, including those with no prior experience in machine learning.
What is CytoVI?
CytoVI is a state-of-the-art algorithm for the analysis of cytometry data and based on a variational autoencoder (VAE) architecture. CytoVI enables powerful new ways to analyze high-dimensional cytometry data, including spectral flow, CyTOF and CITE-seq. With CytoVI, you can:
- Perform robust batch correction across different datasets or experiments
- Virtually expand your flow or mass cytometry panels indefinetly using generative AI
- Jointly analyze flow cytometry and CITE-seq data within a single model
- Impute a cell’s transcriptome from flow cytometry data
- Automate and scale your analysis workflows through transfer learning
What to Expect in the Workshop:
- Introduction to the conceptual foundations and capabilities of CytoVI
- Live demonstration of how to use CytoVI from raw data to results
- Guided practical session tailored for users without a computational background
- Open Q&A with the developer and a computational biologist from the Lighthouse Facility
Led by:
Florian Ingelfinger (Lead Developer of CytoVI) & Michael Selle (Computational Biologist at the Lighthouse Facility) in collaboration with the Lighthouse team at ZTZ.
For whom:
This workshop is designed for cytometry users, immunologists, and translational researchers at the ZTZ and Imitate interested in applying AI-driven tools to improve and accelerate their data analysis pipelines.
